What is Just Guess This!?
A multiplayer trivia game show in your browser. Each riddle is one famous thing, a person, place, film, song, sports star, animal or brand, and its clues appear one by one. Buzz the moment you know it: the earlier you're right, the more you score.
How does a round work?
A riddle has 5 clues, a new one every 8 seconds. Some riddles also hide a photo under 9 tiles, and one tile opens with each clue. Press I KNOW! and your time stops right there; then you have 15 seconds to type the answer.
What happens if I buzz and I'm wrong?
Once you buzz you're committed: a wrong answer, or no answer, scores no points. That's the gamble. Buzzing never locks anyone else out, though.
How long is a game?
5 riddles, and the final round counts double. It takes a few minutes, and Play again keeps the same room for the rematch.
What are Party, Challenge and Solo?
Party is live: everyone plays together, in one room or apart. Challenge is one riddle sent as a link, for example to a group chat, that everyone plays whenever they like; the results open once two have played, when the host reveals them or after 2 hours. Solo is 5 riddles, just you and the clock.
Is it multiple choice?
No. You type the answer yourself, from the clues.
Players and devices
How many people can play?
A party takes 2 to 30 players. Free, up to 3 people can play in a party or a challenge, the host included. The Full Pass takes it up to 30.
Does everyone need their own device?
Yes. Each player plays on their own phone, tablet or computer, in the browser. There's no app to download and no account to make.
Do we need a TV or a shared screen?
No. Every device shows the whole game, so there's nothing to cast or share.
Does it work on Zoom, Discord, Teams or FaceTime?
Yes, next to any of them. The game doesn't run inside the call: everyone opens the link in their browser and uses the call to hear each other.
How do people join?
The host creates a room and shares a link, a QR code or the 4-letter room code.
Can we play in teams?
No. Everyone plays for themselves, each on their own device.
The riddles and the judge
Is it US or UK trivia?
Both. The host picks the set under "Riddles from". The USA set and the UK set are each written for their own country, about its TV, music, sport, places and famous people, next to the world-famous ones. Each country set has 500+ riddles.
What topics are there?
Seven groups: Movies & TV, Music, Sports, Places, Famous People, Nature, and Things & Tech, each with its own sub-topics, like the NFL and Country in the USA set, or British TV and National Treasures in the UK set.
Which languages does it come in?
Each phone, tablet or computer shows the game in its own language: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Hebrew. The riddles come from the room's set, in the host's language: in English, the host chooses the USA or UK set.
Can I add my own questions?
No. The riddles are ready-made, so nobody has to prepare anything.
Do I have to spell it exactly?
No. The judge accepts misspellings, spellings by sound, nicknames and the thing's name in other languages. It never accepts a different answer.
What if my answer is unusual?
A guess the judge has never seen before goes to an AI judge, which decides whether it really means the same thing.
Price and the Full Pass
Is it free?

What does the Full Pass add?
